Il 3 luglio del 1969 Brian Jones, da poco estromesso dai Rolling Stones, moriva nella piscina della sua tenuta (Cotchford Farm, East Sussex). Un decesso da subito adombrato da sospetti e aree grigie – fu un incidente o un omicidio? E’ quasi sicuro che non lo sapremo mai.
Purtroppo, nonostante l’intenzione di lanciarsi in una carriera musicale personale, Jones riuscì a concludere ben poco – quasi nulla – extra-Stones. Ciò non toglie che l’impronta lasciata da Brian nella storia del rock e del pop sia indelebile.
Abbiamo, quindi, scelto di ricordarlo assemblando una guida a tutti i titoli su vinile a cui ha partecipato, sia con la sua band che da solista o come collaboratore/autore/strumentista…
Alcuni dischi sono di semplice reperibilità, altri molto meno (soprattutto nelle edizioni orifinali). Per cui buona caccia!
